A HILARIOUS MUSICAL COMEDY
Synopsis
On the surface this play appears as a simple musical-comedy about life on the farm. Bubbling under the surface are more serious issues of life; finances, family relationships, guilt from the past coloring the present. Pal and Liza disagree about how to save their family farm. The chickens that Pal has collected have their own issues to sort out while the toe-tapping music and antics in the farmyard keep this story from taking itself too seriously.
Director Julie Dorsey says, “I was caught by the ridiculousness of the chickens telling their story along side their human counterparts. But what kept me were the tender moments where life gets hard but the characters don’t give up; even coming out better on the other side of it all.”
